During the first quarter of 2013, Caring Soul organised two contractors to provide their services for free to a handicapped home located in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
The home was building a new wing to house a large hall that can accommodate music and art lessons for the children to enhance their learning skills.
A Caring Soul volunteer has been making regular visits to the home to help with the physiotherapy of the children since 2008. In 2012, she heard that the original contractor who was building the new wing absconded after collecting his payment.
Caring Soul then stepped in and organised an electrical contractor to provide free electrical wiring services to the new wing as well as provided ceiling fans and lights. Another contractor was later roped in to provide free installation and piping to the air conditioning units.
All in all, Caring Soul managed to save the home close to RM 20,000. Caring Soul would like to record its utmost thanks to Powerlite Sdn Bhd for providing the free electrical wiring services, ceiling fans and lights. A word of thanks also goes to Cooltron Sdn Bhd for its free services in the installation and piping of the air conditioners.
